- Download the Hackless version of Project M and extract it to your SD card. On your Wii, get the MAC address from Options Wii Settings Page 2 Internet Console Information. On your computer, go to the LetterBomb website. If that site is down, or your system.
- Wii Lite only changes music compression to fit on a 2 GB SD card. The Cosmetics Pack includes files for custom build creation, such as stage imagery templates and full resolution HD textures.
Delete any previous version of Project M from your SD Card and make sure the card itself is not named 'Project M' or any derivative thereof. Unzip the file and open the folder that comes out, or use the Installer to download and generate the folder instead. Move the contents of that folder to your SD Card. Remove any Gamecube Memory Cards.
Alright guys! After searching the internet for a while I've noticed that there is not a project m 3.6 iso builder yet for those who want the regular build of project m 3.6. However, an iso builder is not the only way to get project m onto dolphin. Check out this cool guide on how to run project m from virtual sd card in dolphin ( Pay no attention the date. It's been updated since the new version came out) :
This guide will show you exactly how easy it is to make this happen. Additionally, if you're like me and you really dig the new tracks the netplay build has you can delete the strm folder in the project m 3.6 folder and replace it with the netplay strm folder. HOWEVER, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO COPY AND MERGE THE FOLDERS. I did this once and it corrupted the music files causing songs to play over each other and static sounds to break the songs up. I haven't had any problems since I deleted the folder and replaced it completely with the netplay one. I'll update this if anything does come up.
Last but not least there is one thing about the netplay tracklist that I noticed while going over the song files that were replaced. The battlefield ver.2 is said to have been replaced with Strike the Earth! (Shovel Knight). This is incorrect. What IS actually in it's place is a pretty dope track that I have yet to find anywhere on the internet. Even Shazam was confused when it listened to it. So, I implore you to find out just what that song is. If you do figure it out post it in the comments section please. Help me help you find out what the name of that dope track is. Anyways, that's about all. Enjoy the guide. And don't forget to rebuild the project m 3.6 netplay iso with the updated builder!

How to [Net]Play
For Normal Offline Play, you must launch the game from the PMNetplayV4.elf. If you do not see the following, there may be an issue with your sd card path or settings:
From this Screen: PRESS A to Launch Project M:
To Connect:
7) Go to Tools > Start NetPlay...:
8) From the host, you will receive an 8 digit code. From here, you will input the 'Host Code' and hit 'Connect'. Just a reminder, your game CANNOT be running. The host WILL start the game for you:
9) From here, you will be able to set your own preferred buffer. More on this in the next section. For now, let your host set up the correct Minimum Buffer, and they will start up the emulation:
To Host:
10) As the host, you have two methods to host. The first as listed above is to click Tools > Start Netplay... However, there is a new feature of right clicking the game and 'Host with Netplay.' In either case, you must host PMNetplayV4.elf:
~ OR ~
11) Once you're hosting, you must copy the host code in the top right and send it to your opponent. Once they connect, you will need to judge what the Minimum Buffer should be set to. To figure this out, divide the Ping of your opponent by 8 and round up.
REMINDER: Ping / 8. In the case below, the ping is 37ms, so it would be 37/8 = 4.625 rounded up = 5.
ALSO, if the ping is < 32 ms, we recommend setting the buffer at a minimum of 4 buffer as the new input reduction codes provide the console + CRT experience @ 4 buffer. Any less would feel unnatural.
REMINDER: If Ping < 32ms, Minimum buffer = 4

Once set, both you and your opponent may change their personal buffer. If you prefer to play at a higher buffer than your opponent or vice versa, you/they may set their buffer to whatever buffer you/they desire >/= the minimum buffer sat. From here, Click Start and Press A from the launcher screen and you should be on your way to dueling!
